Here we go…it’s SpyParty Beta time!

Well, you all asked for it, so I’ve spent the past month trying to figure out exactly how to make it work, and I think I’ve finally got all the pieces figured out.1

So, here we go:  I’m taking sign ups for the SpyParty Early-Access Beta, starting right now!

I’m so excited!  This is going to be a lot of fun!

    Will two people be able to try out a single copy/license of the beta? It *might* be a successful tactic to let people have a way to play on two computers using a single license. What are your thoughts on this?

      Some of the folks on the signup page comments suggested this. I like the idea, I need to think about how to make it work, though, so no promises but I will try to figure something out!

    Cant wait to give it a go. Prepurchase during beta works for frozen synapse and minecraft. Itll work for you too :)

      will there be an option to play with a friend on the beta like a private match or something?

      Yeah, definitely. Initially you’ll probably just have to agree to log in at the same time, or whatever. But, once you pick somebody to play, you’re in a de facto private match. I’m going to add spectating at some point, but you’ll be able to disable it.

    I’m in the ‘Shut Up and Take My Money’ group of people. Anyways, I was wonder if there will be Online play included with the beta, or if it’s strictly a LAN affair

      I’m with you Moe, I’m curious about that too. Although it will probably be easy enough for ppl to hamachi LAN if not =)

      Also do we have an ETA for beta?

      It’s strictly online, actually, no LAN support yet. That’ll come later.
